Lenders price the cost of money based on your credit worthiness, or past payment history. So, if you have a good payment record, you'll get the best rate. If you have late payments or other payments on your credit report, YOU MAY STILL GET A MORTGAGE LOAN, you'll just have to pay a higher rate.
